Pete was our Student Government advisor when I served as Treasurer of the SCA at Pulaski High School 40 years ago. I can't tell you how many times I've thought of Pete over the years, wondering what became of him, and how he was doing. We just heard today about Pete and we are so very sorry. Pete was a wonderful teacher at Pulaski Middle School and did such a terrific job developing the chess program. Susan, you and your family are in our prayers.

I am saddened to hear that Edward H. Shaw, Jr., a.k.a. 'Pete', has passed on. The last time I saw him, was at the Flea Market at the Fairgrounds one year. My heartfelt condolences to his wife Susan, and all of his family and friends.

The Pulaski County Chess Program became both a state force, and then a national force, on all levels. None of this would have happened, if not for him being the trailblazer.

Thank you, Pete.

Rest In Peace.

To the Shaw Family,
Susan, your husband was my dear friend and I will truly miss him. The night before you called, I finished my frog cabinet, with all of my gifts from him from around the world. There will not be a day that goes by that he will not be in my thoughts. May God Bless you during this time of need in you life.
Pete's friend forever.
