My sweet Mary, I will miss you so much. You always said we were not "sisters-in-laws", but "sisters of the heart". You have taken a piece of my heart with you. I will remember the good times we shared and the memories we made. You were truly an angel on earth and now one of God's special angels in heaven. Give Joe a big hug from me. I love you.

What a lovely lady! Kind, caring, loving... she will be greatly missed. She will remain forever in the hearts of many but especially in the hearts of her family and her wonderful and adoring grandchildren. Our sympathy to you all.

So many good memories of Mary when we worked at Macy...One thing for sure she was a fighter and a beautiful one at that...Seeing Mary out was always a joy and she was always smiling...I really enjoyed seeing her at the Homestead and then at Walmart and she was so excited about her upcoming trip to warmer weather while we were about to have a snow storm...she sure did not let how she may have been feeling stand in her

Dear Cornwell Family, I was so sad when I read of Mary's passing in the N&O. We were classmates at Enloe High School in Raleigh. When I remember Mary as she was as a teenager and then as an adult, the words I would use to describe her are "full of grace." I had great admiration and respect for her. I cannot imagine the void you must feel, all of us feel. I will remember you in my prayers.
Brightest Blessings,
Teresa ( Johnson) La Voy

Mr. Cornwell, Jimmy, and Amanda,
I will always remember Mrs. Cornwell as a strong woman of great character. She was great to all of us growing up and cared about shaping the future for thousands of kids over the years. That is a fantastic legacy! My sympathies go out to you all and your entire family. May God bless you, and the memory of Mrs. Cornwell.

JIM AND FAMILY,

OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU. I WAS SO SHOCKED TO READ OF HER PASSING. SHE WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL PERSON AND FRIEND. I MET MARY BY SUBBING FOR HER MANY YEARS AGO AT MACY. SHE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL THAT WERE BLESSED TO KNOW HER.

Jim and family,

We would like to express to you and your family our sincere condolences in Mary's passing. We both had the good experience of working with her in the school system and will remember her smile, encouragement, and positive attitude. She was well respected by her students, faculty and staff and will be missed.
