Leliah Helvey (Liz) Pruett, 95 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017.

She was born in Bland County, Virginia on December 19th, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Zeb and Bessie Mae Coeburn Helvey. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Fairbanks Shrader; her second husband, Myron Carson Pruett; and her only son, Gary Douglas Shrader.

Leliah was a longtime faithful member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Narrows, actively served on the Fairview Cemetery Association, and American Legion Post #68 Ladies Auxiliary. She also loved her kitten, "Blues." Her spunk, spirit and determination will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Left to cherish her memory are a granddaughter, Stacy Shrader Ferrell and husband Joe of Narrows; a grandson, Shane Shrader and wife Macy of Pulaski; a daughter-in-law, Juanita Shrader of Narrows; another granddaughter, Cindy Shrader Bowers and husband David of Narrows; ten great-grandchildren; a stepson, Rick Pruett and wife Sandy of Narrows; and a step-grandson, Chad Pruett of Narrows.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 28th, 2017 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows with Rev. Jim McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Chapel Friday from 10 AM until just prior to the service.
