Lois Candler Parcell, 81 of Narrows passed away peacefully on Monday, November 14th, 2016.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on March 18th, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Robert Aaron and Annie Mae Morrison Candler. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Luther Garnett Parcell; two sisters, Opal Knowles and Tiny Stollings; a brother, Robert Candler; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Masters.

A retired employee of Celanese in Narrows, Lois was an active member of AFL-CIO Local #2024. She enjoyed books, shopping, and dancing, but most importantly, loved her family.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Vanessa Jones and husband Roger of Rich Creek, Ellen Lynn Akers and husband Lacy of Narrows; three grandchildren, Lacy Akers, Terri Thompson, and Sam Akers; five great-grandchildren, Emma Ellison, Kaitlyn Cline, Dylan Akers, Garnett Akers, and Chandler Akers; two great-great grandchildren, Zoey Jones and Jaxson Havens; two sisters, Dorothy Dunn and husband Colonel of Rich Creek, and Jean Wickline and husband Calvin of Broadhead, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Edna Hughes and husband Jerry of Rich Creek; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special nephew, Richard Masters of Narrows; and a special niece, Teresa Lucas of Princeton.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows Thursday from 4:30 to 6 PM, with a funeral service at 6 PM. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
